Adaptive Music Lessons |
| Adaptive Music Lessons For those with special needs, we offer adaptive music lessons. Adaptive music lessons can look different for different students. Many music students are not able to be successful at a traditional lesson. This does not mean that the student can't learn - it means they need their own specialized method! Our board-certified music therapists are able to assess each student's skills and needs and create a method that works. Adaptive lessons can also be a combination of music lesson and music therapy. Incorporating non-musical goals (e.g. motor skills) into an adaptive lesson can have a great impact on both the musical learning and development! Our adaptive lesson students work on individualized goals which are collected weekly and sent home quarterly. For anyone who is interested in adaptive lessons, we offer you to come in for a FREE screening. This 30-minute appointment allows our MT to meet the prospective student and assess their skills and needs. Every student at MTS of GA is invited to perform in our recitals. These recitals are held every spring and summer. |
